The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is expected to announce the KCET Result 2026 anytime between May 20 and May 25, 2026. Lakhs of students across Karnataka who appeared for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) are eagerly waiting for the official release of their scorecards and ranks. According to recent media updates, KEA has already completed most of the technical processes, including answer key verification, standardisation of 2nd PUC marks, and backend audits. With document verification activities nearing completion, the result announcement is expected very soon.

KCET 2026 examinations were conducted from April 22 to April 24, 2026, for admissions into Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, and other professional courses in Karnataka. More than 3.3 lakh students appeared for the entrance examination this year, making it one of the largest state-level entrance tests in India. As per previous trends, KEA is likely to announce the results through an official press conference held in Bengaluru. The KCET 2026 scorecard will contain detailed information related to the candidate’s performance. These details play a crucial role during the admission and counselling process.

One of the most important aspects of KCET ranking is the 50:50 weightage formula followed by KEA. Under this system, 50% weightage is given to the marks obtained in the KCET examination, while the remaining 50% is calculated based on standardized scores from the 2nd PUC board examinations. This balanced ranking method ensures fair evaluation for students from different educational backgrounds and boards.

Looking at previous years, the KCET 2025 result was declared on May 24, approximately 37 days after the examination. The pass percentage last year reached 88.36%, with more than 2.75 lakh students qualifying for professional courses. Similar timelines are expected for KCET 2026 as well.

After the declaration of results, KEA will begin the next phase of the admission process. This includes publication of the topper list, seat matrix, verification slips, and counselling registration schedules. KCET 2026 counselling is expected to begin around August 2026, where qualified candidates can participate in option entry, seat allotment, and document verification procedures.

KCET 2026 Result Live Updates: KEA UGCET Results Expected in First Week of June

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is expected to announce the KCET 2026 Results in the first week of June 2026 on its official websites — cetonline.karnataka.gov.in, kea.kar.nic.in, and karresults.nic.in. Candidates who appeared for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 will be able to check their subject-wise scores, ranks, and download the official scorecard online using their application credentials.

This year, nearly 3.3 lakh candidates registered for the KCET 2026 examination, making it one of the largest state-level entrance exams in India. The examination was conducted from April 22 to April 24, 2026 across multiple centres in Karnataka. The Kannada language paper was held on April 22, followed by Physics and Chemistry exams on April 23, while Mathematics and Biology papers were conducted on April 24.

KCET 2026 Result Delay and Latest Updates

As per the latest updates, KEA has temporarily postponed the KCET 2026 result announcement due to the rescheduled agriculture and veterinary practical examinations at the Hiriyur centre. The delay is also linked to a re-examination conducted following reports of malpractice at one of the exam centres.

Before activating the result link online, KEA is expected to conduct an official press conference announcing toppers, pass percentages, and counselling schedules. Once released, candidates can access their KCET 2026 rank card PDF directly from the official portals.

KEA Requests Class 12 Marks Upload

On May 19, 2026, KEA instructed students from CBSE, CISCE, and other state boards to upload their Class 12 marks through the KEA portal. Candidates were also asked to provide DigiLocker access for automatic retrieval of marks required during result processing and rank preparation.

KCET 2026 Counselling Process

Traditionally, KCET counselling is conducted alongside NEET admissions. However, due to issues related to the NEET paper leak controversy, Karnataka Higher Education Minister MC Sudhakar confirmed that KEA will proceed independently with the KCET counselling process this year.

The counselling process is expected to begin in the first week of June 2026, starting with document verification. Through KCET, students gain admission into top engineering, pharmacy, architecture, agriculture, and veterinary colleges across Karnataka.

KEA Manthana 2026 Career Guidance Program

KEA is currently conducting the Manthana 2026 Career Guidance Program from May 25 to May 30, 2026. The initiative is designed to help students and parents understand seat allotment procedures, course selection, and admission processes. More than 10,000 students and parents reportedly attended the first day of the event.
