KEAM 2026 Rank List Released Today: Check Ranks, Toppers, Counselling and Admission Updates
The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, is set to release the KEAM 2026 Rank List today, June 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM on its official website, cee.kerala.gov.in. Candidates who appeared for the Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Medical (KEAM) examination can access their ranks through the candidate login portal using their application number and password.
The KEAM rank list is one of the most important milestones in the admission process for engineering courses in Kerala. The ranks obtained by candidates will be used for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2026, which facilitates seat allotment in government, aided, and private engineering colleges across the state.
KEAM 2026 Rank Calculation Process
The KEAM Engineering Rank List 2026 is prepared using a 50:50 weightage formula. The final rank is calculated by combining:
- Normalised KEAM Entrance Examination Score (scaled to 300 marks)
- Plus Two Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) marks (scaled to 300 marks)
The total score is calculated out of 600 marks, ensuring equal consideration of both entrance examination performance and academic achievement.
This ranking methodology helps create a balanced evaluation process for admission to engineering programmes in Kerala.
Increased Competition in KEAM 2026
According to reports, approximately 1 lakh students appeared for KEAM 2026, marking a substantial increase compared to 86,401 candidates in 2025. The rise in participation is expected to make the competition for top engineering colleges and preferred branches significantly more challenging this year.
Candidates are therefore advised to carefully analyse their ranks and previous years’ cutoff trends before participating in counselling and option entry.
How to Check KEAM 2026 Rank List
Candidates can follow these simple steps:
- Visit the official website cee.kerala.gov.in
- Click on the KEAM Candidate Login link.
- Enter the application number and password.
- Access the candidate dashboard.
- View and download the KEAM 2026 Rank Card.
The rank card should be downloaded and preserved for future counselling and admission procedures.
KEAM 2026 Toppers List
CEE is also expected to publish the list of top-performing candidates along with the rank list. The topper list will include the names, ranks, and scores of the highest-ranking students in the examination.
Last year, Joshua Jacob Thomas secured Rank 1 with a score of 587.6773 out of 600, followed by Hari Kishan Baiju and Adhvaith Ayinippilly Sandeep among the top performers.
KEAM Counselling 2026
After the rank list announcement, CEE will release the schedule for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2026. The counselling process is expected to consist of three regular rounds and one mop-up round.
The CAP process typically includes:
- Option Registration
- Choice Filling
- Option Rearrangement
- Final Option Confirmation
- Provisional Allotment
- Seat Allotment Results
- Fee Payment
- Reporting to the Allotted Institution
Seat allotment will be conducted based on rank, reservation criteria, seat availability, and candidate preferences.
Candidates should regularly monitor the official website for counselling notifications, allotment results, and cutoff ranks. Proper planning during option entry can significantly improve the chances of securing admission to a preferred college and branch.
