MET'S College of Advanced Studies (METSCAS), established in 2015, is a distinguished institution of higher education functioning under the esteemed Mala Educational Trust (MET) in Mala, Thrissur, Kerala. The Trust was founded in 2001 by a group of visionary educationists and professionals with the objective of imparting world-class education and creating a dynamic environment that nurtures academic excellence, innovation, leadership, and professional competence. The Founder-Chairman of the Trust is Dr. Shaju Antony Aynikkal, MBBS, MD, DVD, a renowned medical practitioner, academician, and educational leader whose dedication to quality education has contributed significantly to the growth and reputation of MET institutions. The Trust's mission is to develop competent, value-driven professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills, and entrepreneurial mindset required to excel in a rapidly evolving global environment.
Building upon the success of MET'S School of Engineering, which was established in 2002 and has become one of Kerala's leading engineering institutions, the Trust launched MET'S College of Advanced Studies in 2015. The institution was founded with the vision of creating highly educated, employable, and socially responsible graduates with a global outlook and strong entrepreneurial spirit.
The college is strategically located at Kuruvilassery, just five minutes from Mala town in Thrissur district. The campus offers a perfect blend of rural serenity and urban convenience, providing students with a peaceful and conducive learning environment. Accessibility is a major advantage, with Cochin International Airport located nearby and excellent rail connectivity through Chalakudy Railway Station and Angamaly Railway Station. MET'S College of Advanced Studies offers a variety of career-oriented undergraduate programs, including B.Com (Finance), B.Com (Computer Application), B.Com (Co-Operation), BBA, BCA, and B.Sc Artificial Intelligence. METSCAS actively encourages innovation and entrepreneurship through its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC). The institution is presently led by Dr. Phonsy Francis, Principal of MET'S College of Advanced Studies. A highly respected academician, Dr. Francis holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and brings nearly two decades of teaching and administrative experience. She has served in several academic leadership positions, presented research papers at national and international conferences, and published scholarly articles in reputed journals. Under her leadership, the college continues to strengthen its commitment to academic excellence, research, innovation, and holistic student development.
Today, with over 1,280 students, 50 certified faculty members, 1,200 graduates, and 6 approved academic programs, MET'S College of Advanced Studies stands as a leading institution in Kerala's higher education landscape.
